Welcome to Welland

Welland, Ontario offers visitors a wide range of accommodation options with over 20,000 hotel rooms available within a 30-minute drive.

Travelers flying in can choose between two conveniently located airports: Hamilton Airport, just a 50-minute drive away, and Toronto-Pearson Airport, only 75 minutes away.

Welland acts as a gateway to some of Ontario’s most captivating tourist destinations. From the charming town of Niagara-on-the-Lake to the breathtaking Niagara Escarpment, visitors have an array of options to explore. Wine lovers will appreciate the region’s 120 wineries, each offering a unique tasting experience, and of course a visit to the area would not be complete without experiencing the beauty of Niagara Falls.

Nationals 2024 dates conflict with the World Rowing 2024 event being hosted in St Catharines Ontario the same week.  As a result, accommodations may be a challenge to procure. We recommend booking hotel rooms well in advance.  Many of the accommodations used previously for events in Welland were booked over a year ago by the organizers of the rowing event.  However, south western Ontario is one of the most densely populated regions in Canada and the region is a highly sought after tourist destination. Therefore there are many alternative locations in the region
