The on-land competition site is located in a section of Avenue du Capitaine-Veilleux, closed to traffic. The site offers excellent visibility with more than 500m along the shore and allows you to observe and follow, from a distance, all the races between the 1000m and the 500m until the finish.

Three areas make up our site:

  1. An Athletes’ Village RESERVED for athletes and coaches
  2. A public area with the stands
  3. A trade fair

Night security is in place for the entire site from Sunday evening, August 21, until Monday morning, August 29 at 8am.

Please note that personal items and valuables should not be left unattended. The Host Organizing Committee and Canoe Kayak Canada cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to club, participant or public property.

The Athletes’ Village is the gathering place for all the clubs including their boats, tents and equipment. Only athletes and coaches participating in National Championships are permitted access to the Athletes’ Village. Each club will be allocated an identified space and must bring its own racks for its boats.

Please note that DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED in the Athletes’ Village.

The Athletes’ Village is located in front of the three accesses to the platforms and includes the municipal parking lot, a grassy area adjacent to the intersection of rue Régis and Avenue Capitaine-Veilleux and the boat ramp via chemin de la Berge.

The floating podium is attached to the boat control docks, at the intersection of rue Ozias-Leduc and Avenue du Capitaine-Veilleux.
Award Ceremonies will take place on the floating podium immediately after each final.

Training on the course with the presence of safety boats will be permitted at the following times:
  • Sunday, August 21 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
  • Monday, August 22 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

If required, details of the protocol will be shared before the event in order to respect the socio-sanitary measures concerning COVID-19 in force in our region.

First aid and sports medicine services (sports therapy, massage therapy) will be located in the Athletes’ Village.
